Position Overview
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with a strong engineering mindset and hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation to support and scale our production systems.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for both existing and new projects, while managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure primarily on Microsoft Azure. Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments such as financial services is highly valued.
This role works closely with software engineers, data engineers, and infrastructure stakeholders to ensure reliable deployments, operational excellence, and strong security posture across all environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for existing and new applications, ensuring reliable and repeatable deployments.
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, storage, and security resources.
- Design, implement, and maintain containerized application workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reliability across development, staging, and production environments.
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve build, release, and deployment workflows.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability, and proactively address operational issues.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure consistency, traceability, and scalability.
- Manage secrets, certificates, and access controls in accordance with security and compliance best practices.
- Participate in production support, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Continuously improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of cloud resources.
Preferred Background
- 3+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering role.
- Prior experience working in financial services, trading firms, hedge funds, or other high-availability environments is a strong advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to operational excellence.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Required Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (build, test, and deployment automation).
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience (e.g., ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or similar).
- Strong experience with Cloud Computing Platform, including resource provisioning and management.
- Solid knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience working with Linux-based systems and command-line tooling.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting concepts for production systems.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, security principles, and access control.
Nice-to-Have Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience supporting microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and performance tuning.
- Exposure to compliance or security requirements in regulated environments.
