About the Role
We are hiring a senior DevOps Expert / Architect to join a new Digital Infrastructure initiative within a private banking technology environment. This is a founding role with real influence on platform design, CI/CD, and DevOps culture. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with enablement and coaching, in a regulated, enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach development, operations, and platform teams on DevOps principles, practices, and ways of working
- Guide teams on containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
- Design, improve, and support CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD)
- Promote an automation-first mindset using Python, Ansible, or similar tools
- Define and advise on container governance, security, and vulnerability management
- Support optimization of Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms for reliability, performance, and security
- Deliver training sessions, workshops, and technical documentation
- Improve collaboration across Dev, Ops, Cloud, and Security teams
- Contribute to DevOps strategy, continuous improvement initiatives, and modern delivery practices
- Support teams with monitoring and observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk)
Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in IT with a strong focus on DevOps, automation, and platform engineering
- Deep hands-on expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and container security
- Solid experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD)
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python preferred)
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coach, influence, and enable teams
- Autonomous, proactive, and driven by continuous improvement
- Fluent in English
