Job Summary
As a Development Technician at HOYA Electronics, you will support engineering activities to ensure product quality during manufacturing by troubleshooting, conducting experiments, compiling data, and collaborating across teams in a dynamic cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development engineers and technicians to ensure timely and successful introduction of new products
- Monitor product performance to maintain compliance with internal specifications and development engineer requirements
- Perform process tuning and adjustments to meet defined specifications
- Troubleshoot process and defect issues during pilot runs to minimize disruptions and maintain smooth operations
- Compile and deliver optical and defect performance data from pilot runs for engineering analysis and improvement
- Execute tasks according to development guidelines during maintenance, start-up, and pilot run stages
- Provide basic training and guidance to new technicians on processes and operational standards
- Update daily work status and adapt to changing priorities to support team objectives
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Technology
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom environment
- Basic proficiency in MS Office applications
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong communication skills to report and collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new cleaning machine technologies and procedures
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (4 days work/3 days rest/3 days work/4 days rest)
- Proactive team player attitude
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment
- Willingness to perform overtime when necessary

- This is a 2-year contract position based at Singapore Headquarters
