Get to Know the Role

We are seeking a Development Engineer to join the Development team in our mask blank factory. Our team focuses on pilot line launching for new products and technology. As a development engineer, you will participate in the development of deposition processes that focus on product transfer, yield, quality, and throughput improvements. We have a strong emphasis on statistics-driven methods for experimental design and data analysis. You will be coordinate with R&D team at our facility in Japan Nagasaka to provide engineering support for all activities and new product set-up

Essential Responsibilities

• Coordinate new product/equipment qualification.
• Develop yield improvement measures.
• Develop mass production processes.
• Manage transfer to mass production of newly qualified products.
• Analyse factors that affect thin film properties of mask blanks with regards to sputter deposition technology
• Develop stages of fabrication for thin film mask blanks
• Development of the fabrication equipment, process parameters, parameter limits and monitoring/control techniques to give a good product yield.
• Creation of specifications and manufacturing process instructions for all stages of production.

Skills and Competencies Profile

• Degree in Material Science or Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum or more than 3-5 years of related working experience in
• semiconductor industry is preferred.
• Understanding of thin film metallurgy and deposition processes and equipment (Ion beam deposition, PVD, CVD)
• Experience in demonstrating statistical skills in data analysis, good knowledge in JMP, Minitab, DOE and SPC are preferred.
• Experience with following tools: Ellipsometer, X-ray reflectometry, SEM and EDX.
• Experience in a quality certified environment, i.e. ISO9001, 5S, 8D, lean six sigma
• Able to work in cleanroom environment
