Job Description

The Development Manager leads the development team to ensure that our developments are completed on time and to the highest standard and quality. In addition, the Development Manager is responsible for assisting with the planning design, concept and execution of any development projects and asset enhancement initiatives for commercial properties. The projects span across Singapore, Australia and Japan. In addition, the Development Manager is responsible with his teammates for producing any architectural and technical drawings as required by the sales and marketing team or the Investment team. Finally, the Development Manager will also assist on all asset enhancements and fitouts for all existing and new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

As a full-time member of the development team, you will be working directly with key management on development and investment holding properties in Singapore, Australia and Japan.

. Lead the planning design, concept and execution of any development projects and asset enhancement initiatives for commercial properties in Singapore, Australia and Japan.

. Develop and implement project strategies to maximize returns and minimize risk.

. Manage project budget, schedules, and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

. Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors and government authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

. Oversee the design and development process, including architectural design, engineering and construction activities.

. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.

. Manage any relationship with investors, partners and other key stakeholders together with other team members to ensure alignment of interests and expectations.

. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and investors on project performance, milestones and key metrics.

. Manage regulatory approval timelines for development projects.

. Report internally on all elements of existing development projects by providing high level reports and insights to key stakeholders.

. Assist in preparing architectural drawings in AutoCAD based on design brief, sketches, specifications and design intent. Ensure all drawings are prepared timely, accurately and legibly.

. Assist in preparing tender packages, calling for quotations, and maintain project documentations and drawings.

. Attend consultants, technical and site meetings.

. Check and coordinate Consultants drawings/information and Main Contractor's shop drawings issued during pre-construction, construction and post-construction.

Qualifications

. Bachelor's or master's degree from a leading institution with the following fields of study: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate

. Minimum8-10 years of experience preferably with a developer or architectural consultant or contractor with a focus on commercial properties.

. Proven track record of successfully managing development projects and asset enhancement initiatives in Singapore

. Strong understanding of local regulations, zoning laws and building codes in Singapore.

. Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

. Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.

. Proficiency in project management software, Autodesk AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS PowerPoint, MS Words, and working knowledge with MS Excel is a plus

. Ability to review Architectural, M&E, structural and shop drawings

. Complete fluency in English and Mandarin

. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

. Motivated individual who can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
