This role is central to the creation, maintenance, and presentation of development materials. The Development AP will be deeply involved in building pitch decks, sourcing visual assets, preparing trailers and sizzles, and ensuring all development-facing materials are polished, current, and market-ready.
The role also supports the wider development team operationally, acting as a key point of coordination across diaries, meetings, and development workflows.
Key Responsibilities
. Pitch Decks, Presentation & Visual Development
. Build, update, and maintain high-quality pitch decks for broadcasters, streamers, brands, and partners.
. Source strong visual references including stills, archive imagery, talent imagery, press photography, and mood references.
. Confidently use tools such as Canva (and/or PowerPoint/Keynote) to design and update professional development decks.
. Download and prepare reference clips, trailers, and sizzle materials, including sourcing material from publicly available platforms and websites.
. Maintain clear version control across decks, ensuring materials are always up to date for different markets and partners.
. Prepare visual research packs and mood boards to support creative development and pitching.
Development & Editorial Support
. Support the development of original unscripted ideas across documentary, factual entertainment, formats, and digital content.
. Conduct editorial research into stories, characters, talent, contributors, and access opportunities.
. Assist with shaping loglines, series summaries, episode outlines, and written treatments.
. Track and implement creative notes from internal teams and external partners.
Digital Presence & Materials Management
. Support the upkeep of Beach House Pictures website and LinkedIn presence, including updating project slates, descriptions, and visuals as required.
. Organise and maintain development assets including decks, sizzles, images, and written materials.
. Ensure consistent branding and presentation across all outward-facing development materials.

. Take notes in development meetings, pitches, and internal discussions.
. Support general development administration, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Required Skills & Experience
. 1-3 years experience in unscripted television development, production, or assistant producer roles.
. Demonstrated experience writing, designing, or heavily contributing to pitch decks.
. Strong visual literacy and confidence sourcing images and reference materials.
. Proficiency with Canva and/or presentation tools (PowerPoint, Keynote).
. Comfortable downloading, preparing, and organising reference video materials.
. Strong written communication and editorial judgment.
. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
. Confident working across international teams and time zones.
Desirable
. Experience supporting development for global broadcasters or streamers.
. Familiarity with sizzle reels, trailers, and development-facing video assets.
. Basic understanding of rights, archive, and compliance considerations.
. Interest in digital-first storytelling and brand-facing content.
. Knowledge of the Asia-Pacific unscripted landscape.
What This Role Is (and Is Not)
This is a hands-on development role with significant responsibility for how projects are presented to the outside world. While it includes diary management and admin support, the core value of the role lies in creative execution, deckbuilding, and development support, not general office administration.
This role offers a clear pathway toward Development Producer for someone who is editorially strong, visually fluent, and deeply invested in the development process.
