Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Java 8+, Spring Boot and Python.
- Design and implement scalable solutions based on business and system requirements.
- Develop Python applications/scripts for automation, data processing, system integration and application support.
- Analyze and resolve complex application and legacy system issues.
- Develop and maintain REST/SOAP web services and messaging solutions using JMS/IBM MQ.
- Apply software engineering principles including object-oriented design, algorithms and data structures.
- Implement TDD, unit testing and acceptance testing to ensure software quality.
- Design and optimize SQL queries using Oracle/MySQL and relational database concepts.
- Follow secure coding, performance and code quality standards.
- Use Git, Maven, IntelliJ and SonarQube/SonarLint for development and code quality management.
- Perform basic Linux shell scripting to support development and deployment activities.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java 8+, Spring Boot and Python.
- Atleast 5 years of hands on experience on Java & Python development
- Good knowledge of Spring Core, JUnit, TDD and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with REST/SOAP, JMS/IBM MQ and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle and/or MySQL databases and SQL optimization.
- Experience with Maven, Git, IntelliJ and SonarQube/SonarLint.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix shell scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Banking/fintech experience is advantageous.
