Job Summary:

The Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role involves troubleshooting computer systems, configuring hardware and software, maintaining IT assets, and ensuring optimal workstation performance across the organisation.

Requirement:

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are welcome to apply.
  • Good understanding of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Assist in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of operating systems (Windows/macOS) and software applications.
  • Maintain and manage IT asset inventory and ensure compliance with IT policies.
  • Support users in resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues via onsite visits or remote assistance.
  • Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, patch management, and endpoint security deployments.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers or vendors when necessary.
  • Document support activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
