Job Summary
Provide on-site IT support by troubleshooting and resolving desktop PC and printer issues, deploying hardware and software, and serving as the first point of contact for IT-related customer calls in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop PC and printer issues on customer sites to ensure minimal downtime
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer IT-related calls, providing timely and effective support
- Deploy new hardware and software across multiple users and locations to maintain up-to-date IT infrastructure
- Install and troubleshoot IT hardware and software in a large, fast-paced user environment to support operational continuity
- Perform ad-hoc IT maintenance and support tasks as assigned by the reporting manager
- Collaborate with team members and interact professionally with customers and vendors to deliver quality service
- Maintain a customer-focused approach by diligently addressing service issues and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Demonstrate self-motivation and commitment to completing assigned duties efficiently
- Standby duties may be required, including working at customer premises as needed
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Operating Systems (XP, Vista, Windows 7, 2000, 2003, 2008) for desktop and server support in end-user environments
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively address IT issues
- Experience working in teams and managing interactions with customers and vendors
