Role Overview
A temporary, on‑site IT support role created to deliver a one‑time wall‑to‑wall endpoint stocktake, clean‑up, and verification exercise.
After completion of the stocktake, the role will support pre‑move logistics and assist the IT team with daily IT operations, focusing on execution‑heavy tasks to ensure operational continuity and office relocation readiness.
Key Responsibilities
1. One‑Time Endpoint Stocktake & Verification
- Conduct wall‑to‑wall physical verification of IT endpoints (laptops, desktops, peripherals).
- Validate asset details (asset tag, hostname, user, location).
- Perform clean‑up and remediation actions as directed.
- Track discrepancies and follow up on corrective actions.
- Support establishment of a verified endpoint baseline.
2. Pre‑Move Logistics & Transition Support
- Endpoint labelling / re‑labelling and inventory updates.
- Digitisation of records, including scanning of physical documents.
- Support laptop tech refresh and disposal activities.
- Assist with move‑readiness tracking and coordination.
3. Daily IT Operational Support
- Support installation, setup, relocation, and handover of laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
- Assist with standard software installation and configuration under IT guidance.
- Provide basic first‑level IT support for endpoints and peripherals.
- Assist with workstation moves, re‑installs, and operational clean‑up tasks.
- Escalate non‑standard or complex issues to the IT team.
4. Documentation & Process
- Maintain accurate records and task tracking.
- Follow IT policies, asset management procedures, and security requirements.
Requirements (Summary)
- Diploma in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in basic IT support, installations, or IT asset handling.
- Comfortable with hands‑on, execution‑heavy, on‑site work.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and standard productivity tools.
- Some exposure to Linux or basic command‑line usage may be required.
- Detail‑oriented and able to follow structured processes.
