About the Role
The Designer shapes the visual language of our shows and editorial projects. From branding and key art to templates, lower thirds and illustrative assets, this role ensures our work looks sharp, coherent and distinct across all SPH Media brands.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop fresh and outstanding branding and visual identities for shows, franchises and feature projects (logos, wordmarks, colour systems, typography, layout).
- Design key visuals, thumbnails, title cards and on-screen elements that stand out in feeds and on 10-foot screens.
- Create design systems and templates (lower thirds, supers, end slates, presentation decks, social layouts) that can be used across episodes and seasons.
- Produce editorial visuals such as infographics, charts, maps and simple illustrations to support stories and explainers.
- Work closely with Creative Strategists, directors and editors to ensure visual design supports narrative and tone.
- Maintain and evolve design guidelines and libraries so that projects remain consistent over time while allowing for evolution.
- Collaborate with motion designers to translate static designs into animation where needed.
Who we are looking for
- 35+ years as a graphic/visual designer in media, editorial, broadcast, agency or related fields.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating branding, layout, typography and digital-first design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); AI experience in creation and quick iteration is a plus.
- Good eye for photography and framing; basic knowledge of how designs translate into video and motion.
- Able to balance brand consistency with experimentation and freshness.
