DESIGN PROJECT MANAGER

Responsibilities

.Lead and managed projects from initial development phase through manufacturing, site installation, and final completion

.Coordinated closely with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors,and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

.Developed and monitored project schedules, timelines, and work progress to ensure timely delivery.

.Review and ensure all architectural, structural, and M&E drawings and works comply with applicable regulations, codes.

.Conducted site visits and attended project progress meetings with clients, architects, designers, and consultants.

.Managed project documentation and correspondence including emails, weekly progress reports, and schedule updates.

.Monitored project budgets, controlled costs, and implemented value engineering solutions for materials and work scope optimization.

.Evaluated subcontractor and supplier claims, managed rectification works, and prepared final project claims and reports for management and clients.

.Site supervision and to liaise with supervisors and workers to ensure smooth work flow.

.Planning of manpower and work arrangement with site person incharge.

.To liaise with suppliers on procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.

.Assist in settlement of project final account including variation orders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering / civil engineering or related field with minimum 6 years of construction site experience
• Knowledge of construction methods, safety practices, and quality standards.
• Must be willing to work outdoors under hot weather conditions.
• Shift work or extended working hours may be required depending on project schedule.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Must know the Structural Steel works - Tekla Software.
