Design Project Engineer (28 months contract)

I. Job Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the overall design process management of the project, formulate design-related work plans, track the progress and implementation of various design tasks, ensure that the design work aligns with the overall project milestones (such as key milestones like mechanical completion and power supply), and promptly identify and coordinate solutions to various problems in the design advancement.

• Coordinate the connection between design, procurement, construction, quality and other links as a whole, take the lead in promoting the collaborative linkage of various links, ensure that the design output can meet the needs of procurement and construction, and avoid affecting the project progress due to poor design connection.

• Be responsible for coordinating the collaboration between various disciplines, sort out the interface requirements between disciplines, resolve communication barriers between disciplines, and promote multi-disciplinary collaboration to complete design tasks (including the collaborative preparation of approval-related drawings and documents).

• Undertake cross-regional communication responsibilities at home and abroad, focus on daily communication and work docking with the Chinese team (such as Tianjin Institute), synchronize design progress, convey relevant requirements, promote efficient collaboration between the two parties, and ensure accurate and timely information transmission.

• Accurately implement the requirements of the owner and other relevant parties (such as local approval authorities in Singapore), sort out the requirements and convert them into design work standards, track the implementation of requirements, timely feedback progress, and maintain good cooperative relations.

• Assist in promoting the preparation, review and approval of design documents (including IFR, IFD, IFC drawings, various procurement-related documents, SOW documents, etc.), cooperate in completing various local design approval procedures in Singapore, and ensure compliance with local specifications.

II. Job Qualifications

(I) Basic Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above, major in Engineering Design, Civil Engineering, Mechanical EngineeringElectrical Engineering or related fields is preferred.

• Work Experience: 3-5 years or more of relevant work experience in design project management experience in design management of overseas projects (especially Singapore projects) is preferred familiarity with the integrated design, procurement and construction project process is preferred.

• Language Ability: Fluent in listening, speaking, reading and writing in English, able to carry out work communication, document preparation and meeting organization's needs proficiently, and able to communicate with domestic and foreign teams and local relevant parties in Singapore without obstacles. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an advantage to liaise with mandarin speaking clients.

(II) Professional Competence

• Possess a solid foundation in design management, be familiar with design work processes, design specifications and project management tools, and be able to independently complete design progress tracking, work coordination and problem resolution.

• Possess strong coordination capabilities across departments, disciplines and regions, be good at communication and docking, be able to effectively promote the collaboration of design, procurement, construction and other links, and resolve contradictions and problems in collaboration.

• Understand local design specifications, approval processes and relevant requirements in Singapore experience in design approval of Singapore projects is preferred, and be able to cooperate in completing various design registration and application procedures.

• Be familiar with design document preparation specifications, understand the version requirements of design documents such as IFR, IFD and IFC, and be able to assist in promoting the preparation and review of various design documents, procurement documents and SOW documents.

(III) Quality Requirements

• Strong sense of responsibility and initiative, strong execution ability, able to actively follow up work progress, actively solve problems arising in work, and not shirk or delay.

• Possess good pressure resistance, able to adapt to the intense rhythm of the project, cope with the work scenario of multiple tasks in parallel, and ensure the orderly progress of various tasks.

• Possess good team cooperation awareness, be good at listening to needs, integrating resources, able to quickly integrate into the team, and promote the collaborative efforts of domestic and foreign teams.

• Clear logical thinking, strong ability in problem analysis and solution, able to accurately sort out work priorities and efficiently promote the implementation of various tasks.
