Design Manager (Precast)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design and drafting team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective precast and structural design solutions.
• Oversee and coordinate design processes from tender stage to construction, ensuring alignment with client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities to resolve technical and design-related issues.
• Approve and review design drawings, BIM models, and engineering calculations.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant building codes, industry standards, and project timelines.
• Promote the integration of value engineering and constructability reviews into the,design process.
• Support R&D efforts to innovate and improve precast system efficiency and sustainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering continuous improvement and upskilling.

Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in precast or structural design and leadership roles.
• Software: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures, and design tools like STAAD, ETABS, or similar.
• Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder coordination. Familiarity with BCA and HDB regulations is essential.
• Certifications PE (Professional Engineer) registration in Singapore preferred.
