Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure all key considerations are identified and integrated within the project, make recommendations for alternative fixtures and furniture when needed to achieve Design Excellence quality standards, budget and schedule and manage the design process with the vendors.

Provide timely and clear direction to external consultants and suppliers, maintain a strong working relationship with vendors and designers.

Establish vendor lists for specified items based on quality, experience and manufacturing methods.

Effectively communicate information related to FF&E specifications internally and to the other stakeholders as required.

Prepare value engineering menus and potential change in vendors for review by the Interior Design managers and directors for consideration.

Coordinate the flow of information between Operations, ID Consultants and DPM project management team.

Manage the FF&E process for new construction and CAPEX projects, serve as a liaison between the team members and external Design Consultants.

An advocate for Design Excellence to ensure the design aesthetic of all FF&E meets the company's design standards and requirements.

Collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

Provide timely and clear direction to External Consultants and Suppliers across all related design disciplines for all FF&E as required.

Coordinate and lead the flow of all related FF&E information between Hotel Operations, DPM Project Directors and Managers, and DPM Procurement teams and Consultants to successfully support the delivery of projects on time and on budget.

Collaborate with the DPM teams effectively to communicate FF&E expectations and to establish a joint understanding of desired quality and deliverables.

Review fabrics, FF&E selections, carpet, lighting, accessories, artwork specifications and ensure review, comment and approval by the Design team.

Review and mark up required FF&E documentation using ACONEX and all approved means of file/data sharing in compliance with LVS/MBS Policies and best practices.

To manage and lead the FF&E process in all related tasks for the successful handover of projects.

Provide solutions to resolve any changes to FF&E derived from site discrepancies.

Participate in workshops with consultants/suppliers as required in reviewing and commenting on shop drawings throughout all FF&E design stages through to construction completion to capture the spirit of Design Excellence through to handover.

Retain and file all pertinent FF&E project documents and photos, especially those pertaining to approvals, rejections, variances and controversial matters in the project folders for established in the shared drive.

Review contract, scope of work, deliverables, schedule and budget with the Design Team, to ensure that all details of the contracted work are clear and will be executed in a timely manner.

Review and comment on shop drawings for furniture, light fixtures in terms of constructability, aesthetics, and guest use/ergonomics to ensure quality of the design is maintained throughout.

Conduct site and factory visits to ensure implementation and compliance with approved design intent and direction. Review and inspect furniture samples at manufacturing locations and compile Inspection Report for Procurement and the Project Manager's reference.

Prepare and monitor FF&E Tracking documents for each project assigned.

Attend project installations, inspect goods to ensure they are installed as designed and to the quality intended.

Support and participate in the pre-opening punch list of FF&E for FOH areas of the project. Be available to work through corrective action on an ad hoc basis.

Provide support to other FF&E Managers and team members in the process of their projects.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Architectural Studies or related discipline

Experience

Minimum 10 years relevant experience with proven track record in handling luxury hotel projects or large-scale mixed-use developments at major consultancy firms or developers

Solid experience in handling luxury projects is preferred

Experience and knowledge of: All aspects of Hospitality Interior Design, including space planning, FFE, materials Typical building regulations, as relates to interior construction Interior Design processes, including current consultants practices, typical scope and abilities Design Team Structures, including combinations of Concept and Executive Designers

Other Prerequisites

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Knowledge in casino design and operation is optional but preferred.

Sound knowledge in design trends and building design materials

Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines

Proficient in Photoshop, AutoCAD and Sketch-up is preferred

Good organization and communication skills

Ability to work in a team environment
