Job Summary:
The Design Manager is responsible for overseeing all design-related activities on-site, ensuring designs are executed accurately, safely, and according to project specifications and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve engineering drawings, plans, and specifications for construction projects.
- Supervise the implementation of designs on-site and ensure compliance with design standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues or discrepancies during construction.
- Monitor progress and report any deviations, risks, or delays to project management.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and quality standards.
- Assist in preparing project documentation, reports, and as-built drawings.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the site team on design matters.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or relevant Engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in site design management or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety standards and risk management in construction.
