Summary
The candidate will be a technical contributor as part of a digital design team developing highly integrated mixed signal SoC's for low power MCU and Wireless products.
Responsibilities
- Detailed block architecture/design of digital circuits
- In-depth understanding of block requirements, system needs, and interfaces
- Develop block specification, working with cross-functional teams to develop requirements
- Determine appropriate design approach and partitioning
- Implement design through RTL coding, adhering to quality guidelines
- SoC Integration
- Integration of digital blocks / IP into the SoC infrastructure
- Development of SoC infrastructure, such as bus matrix, memory interfaces, clocking, power management, reset management
- Integration of mixed signal and RF IP
- Block level verification to validate block performance with adherence to requirements using directed, random, and assertion-based methods
- SoC integration and infrastructure verification
- Documentation
- Perform requirement, architecture, design reviews
- Develop customer facing reference manual and datasheet material
Education and/or Experience:
- PhD / Master's degree in microelectronics or a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of System-On-Chip or ASIC design, tools, and methodologies
- Knowledge of microcontroller embedded processor
- Design skills in the following areas a plus:
- RTL Codingusing Verilog, SystemVerilog
- Software/Firmware coding
- Low-power implementation
- Knowledge of ARM/RISCV based systemsand Bus protocols
- Hands-on Quality check tools (Lint, CDC)
- Verification skills (e.g., logic simulation, testbench development, performance verification), System-On-Chip or UVM verification experience is a plus.
- Design for Testability skills a plus (e.g., controllability and observability through test modes, scan test, ATPG, MBIST)
- Knowledge of scripting/language (python, perl, TcL)and exposure to AI tools
- Written and verbal communication skills
