Design Engineer

Job Description & Requirements

The Design Engineer directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility.

The role is to evaluate, develop and enhance drainage design concepts of medium to large scale projects with limited complexity to achieve a sustainable and comprehensive final design output and ensure strict system compliances, functionality, usefulness, and identify possible loopholes to mitigate potential problems for better risk management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

. Manage design coordination with internal departments and external clients / consultants / contractors in project assigned.

. Manage deviations of original intent / contractual obligations and raise issue of variations with superior.

. Ensure strict conformity / compliances of simple / intermediate design, system balancing, details, schematics and engineering calculations.

. Basic understanding of system design and perform simple / intermediate calculations using internal software and ensure strict compliance to system conformity.

. Plan and organise as required the design approach and prioritization of work according to work scope and site condition.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.

. Well versed in Autocad and Office suite software. Knowledge of BIM 3D modelling is an added advantage.

. At least 2 year(s) of working experience in project design coordination / construction experience.

. Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.

. Exposure to BIM Modeling and coordination essential to worktask.

. Good interpretation of Architectural and Structural drawings.
