Design Engineer

Min Qualifications / Experience :

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 years relevant experience

Job Skills Required :

Mechanical design of pressure vessels, heat exchagers & atmospheric storage tanks. Thermal design of heat exchangers is also a required skill.

Familiar with international design codes such as ASME, British, Australian & European Codes, Tema, API650 & etc.

Proficient in design software such as PVELite, NozzlePro, StaadPro & Autocad.

Duties & Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities are:

a) Responsible for the formulation of schedules and datelines for design and date of submission.

b) Check detailed design and drawings based on relevant codes and client specifications, while ensuring the most cost efficient methods of design are used.

c) Liaise and co-ordinate with Project Department to obtain relevant information for detailed design.

d) Determine the conditions and study all pertaining data thoroughly and accurately for a design. Many different combinations of loadings are possible and the most probable combination of simultaneous load for an economical and safe design is selected.

e) Control and issue all technical documents.

f) Any adhoc project assigned by Design Manager.
