Design Engineer

Job Description

• Perform drafting using AutoCad 2015 and our in house software of single line, connection diagrams including simple detailed mechanical drawings
• Liaise with project teams, contractors, and suppliers for design clarifications.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, clear, and in compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop designs.
• Maintain and update drawing libraries, records, and project documentation.
• Check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors, andsuppliers for design clarifications.
• Support the engineering/architectural team in design presentations and proposals.
• Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and industry standards.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering / ITE or NITEC in Electrical Technology or equivalent preferably.
• Preferable with 1 or 2 years working experience in Marine Industry
• Good computer literacy including 2D/3D AutoCad, Windows, Word and Excel.
• Electrical and technical skill and knowledge in Marine Industry
• Basic knowledge of Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Strong in electronic drawing, detailing and good knowledge of materials and technical requirements.
• Able to perform under tight schedules and deadlines with minimum supervision
• Highly motivated and has good working attitude.
• Ability to sketch would be an advantage.
• Able to work in a TEAM is a must.
