Design Coordinator

Job Description

. In charge on Structural Coordinated Drawing Production (Concrete Body Plan) ensure accuracy and timely submission as per master program

. Monitor design progress to ensure timely delivery of drawings and documents for construction stages

. Review shop drawings

. Supervise the drafting works related to design and coordinate for deliverables

. Coordinate C&S designs and ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations

. Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure alignment between C&S design and other disciplines

. Resolve design issues on drawings and liaise closely with consultants and all disciplines

. Resolve design issues during construction and provide technical support to site team

. Liaise with clients, consultants, relevant authorities and sub-contractors on structural issues

. Handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned

Technical Competencies:

. Expertise in C&S engineering principles and design processes

. Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting structural design drawings and shop drawings

. Knowledge of construction methodologies and how C&S design are implemented on-site

Skills & Knowledge:

. Strong understanding of C&S design including steel, concrete, foundation, etc

. Well verse with structural engineering design to local codes, regulations and requirements and Eurocode

. Well verse in structural design software eg TSD, Staadpro, Prokon etc

. Ability to manage design coordination between various disciplines

Requirements:

. Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or its relevant

. Minimum 3-5 years of local construction experience in C&S design coordination, preferably in industrial building projects

. Capability to work under fast-track deliverable / projects and accommodation to changes
