Design Coordinator
Role Overview
The Design Coordinator supports the Design Project Manager (DPM) during the early design stage, acting as a key communication, coordination, and information management point between internal design teams and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the DPM with day-to-day project coordination and communication with international clients, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Manage early-stage document control, including the classification, filing, tracking, and maintenance of project correspondence, technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute meeting minutes and project documentation.
- Coordinate drawing formats, documentation standards, and information requirements between internal design teams and external consultants.
- Ensure project information is communicated accurately and efficiently across different teams.
- Support the DPM with project tracking, follow-ups, and other coordination activities.
- Perform other project administration and documentation duties as required.
Requirements
- Educational or professional background in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Façade Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
- Able to read and understand technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Strong organisational and document management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience in engineering/design document control or a similar project coordination role is an advantage.
- Experience working with international consultants, architects, or construction/design teams is preferred.
