Job Description

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore's Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

We have an ambitious growth plan, targeting a multi-fold increase in revenue, and are looking for a driven and action-oriented business leader to play a central role in shaping the Group's International Market Development both B2B and B2B2C sales strategy.

Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the job holder shall be responsible for strategizing, planning, driving revenue and optimisation international market development across key source market across Asia Pacific, Europe and US. The job holder will have to formularise go-to-market strategy for international markets with the aim to deliver revenue targets and build top of mind awareness of the Group's products as well as upcoming Mandai developments. The role will lead International Market Development and Inbound Reservations.

This is a key management position of considerable breadth and complexity, and will require a combination of strategic, out-of-the-box thinking, technical skills and numeracy, the ability to drive, plan and execute well, and the ability to communicate and collaborate across organisational boundaries. Strong track record in Sales, Business Development and International Markets will be an advantage. Overseas travel is expected for the role.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Align sales objectives with the Group's business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.
  • Meet assigned targets for sales and visitorship growth.
  • Plan, implement, and manage sales strategies.
  • Set, track, and regularly report on sales goals, objectives and KPIs
  • Design, plan and execute effective sales activities across all channels with Key OTA partnerships
  • Track ROI and keep sales budget in check.
  • Create, present, and maintain the annual and 5-year sales plan and strategy.
  • Provide leadership to the sales team, while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, high performance and ethical behaviour.
  • Lead sales organisation change initiatives by continuously assessing the need for departmental change, championing change initiatives and removing obstacles impeding constructive organisational change.
  • Strong senior stakeholder management internally and externally.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate qualifications in business or a similar relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, with proven ability to drive team engagement and corporate achievements.
  • Creative, dynamic and entrepreneurial self-starter with enthusiasm and optimism.
  • Thought leader with advanced sales strategy development, negotiation and implementation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with good problem-solving and analytical ability, a customer-centric orientation, and a highly collaborative working style.
  • Strong understanding of travel trade ecosystem, including international markets dynamics, distribution models, and regulatory requirements, with hands-on experience working with OTAs, B2B partners, airlines, and the Singapore Tourism Board.
  • Strong understanding of corporate segments and partnerships.
  • Good understanding of destination marketing, digital commerce, and data-driven sales optimisation.
  • Proactiveness in driving results, with strong ownership over outcomes, and proven ability to work under pressure whilst delivering superior outcomes.
  • Strong track record of leadership and achievement.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage high level stakeholders effectively and build synergies within and across teams.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
