Deputy Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project schedules, including baseline and recovery programmes where required
• Plan and coordinate site logistics, including access, setup, and lifting equipment (e.g. tower cranes - installation and dismantling)
• Review drawings and resolve discrepancies with the technical team and consultants prior to execution
• Monitor project costs, including preliminaries, budgeting, and cost reporting
• Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure works are carried out according to schedule and specifications
• Coordinate overall site planning, including construction sequencing, methodologies, and resource allocation (manpower, materials, equipment)
• Track resource usage and minimise wastage across all stages of construction
• Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders attend regular progress meetings
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and workplace safety requirements
• Identify potential delays or site issues early and implement corrective actions
• Maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders including subcontractors and consultants

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of relevant construction experience
• Proven track record in delivering at least one full project cycle for projects valued at SGD 100M and above
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and site operations
• Good knowledge of project planning, site logistics, and method statements
• Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar planning tools
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and resolve on-site issues effectively
