Our client is a wellestablished A1 main contractor with a strong record in delivering highvalue mixeduse developments, luxury residential projects, and hospitalityrelated building works in Singapore. The organisation is recognised for its structured planning approach, disciplined execution, and ability to manage complex construction interfaces in premium developments.
They are seeking an experienced Deputy Planning Manager to support the planning and scheduling function for a major highend mixeduse development comprising hotel and residential components.
The role operates on a 5day work week and works closely with senior project leadership and site teams to ensure effective programme control.
Key Responsibilities
- Support overall project planning and scheduling activities across the construction lifecycle for a largescale mixeduse development
- Develop, maintain, and update master construction programmes, detailed schedules, and progresstracking tools using Microsoft Project
- Prepare and structure Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to ensure accurate planning, sequencing, and progress monitoring
- Coordinate planning inputs from construction, engineering, and subcontractor teams to ensure integration between hotel and residential work scopes.
- Assist in resource planning, including manpower, equipment deployment, and productivity forecasting.
- Support procurement and subcontractor planning, ensuring alignment between construction sequencing and programme milestones.
- Identify potential programme risks, constraints, and interface challenges, and assist in developing mitigation and recovery measures
- Monitor site progress against the approved programme and highlight critical path issues or deviations
- Prepare regular planning reports, lookahead schedules, and progress analyses for management review.
- Work closely with site teams to ensure programme adherence to safety, quality, and construction best practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
- Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in construction planning, with: Strong exposure to building projects, preferably mixeduse, hotel, or highrise residential developments
- Experience supporting or managing planning functions on large, complex building projects
- Good understanding of construction sequencing, programme logic, and interface management
- Proficient in Microsoft Project for programme development, tracking, and reporting
- Strong analytical, coordination, and problemsolving skills
- Effective communication skills to work across multidisciplinary project teams
