Deputy Manager (Finance Reporting)

Our client is a reputable Shipping MNC. In view of expansion, they are currently seeking a well qualified candidate to join them as Deputy Manager (Finance Reporting).
In this role, you will be responsible for the following :

• Closing of accounts on monthly basis
• Ensure accurate input of accounting entries by identify unusual items/errors and follow up on rectification
• Preparation of monthly reporting pack and financial statements in compliant with the FRS
• Monthly analysis of financial results
• Prepare financial reports including financial highlights for senior management and board
• Provide support on operational systems interfacing to accounting system
• Liaising with auditors
• Review of subsidiaries monthly accounts to ensure no material misstatement
• Attend to financial reporting related queries from internal and external parties
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior staff
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or related discipline with strong accounting knowledge and strong in IFRS
• 10 to 15 years experience in Financial Accounting with prior audit experience is preferred
• IT savvy with system and report enhancements experience
• Analytical, meticulous and independent worker with high degree of initiative
• Possess good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
• Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
• Good business acumen and stakeholder management skills.
