Job Description

Position: Manager / Deputy Manager, Finance & Accounts
Location: Raffles.
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports to: Assistant Vice President, Finance & Accounts

Industry: Renewable Energy.

Job Summary:
The candidate will oversee the preparation of periodical financial statements, consolidation, banking operations, treasury management, and compliance with Singapore regulations for the Singapore Group. This role involves close collaboration with the India-based staff to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping:

    • Maintenance of books of accounts for Singapore companies, including end-to-end accounting from passing entries to finalization of accounts.

    • Processing of bills and invoices.

    • Ensuring records are maintained as per local regulations.

    • Ensuring monthly closure of books and circulation of Management Information Reports (MIS).

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Preparation of accurate and timely financial reports (management reports) and financial statements.

    • Preparation of consolidated financial statements under Singapore GAAP/FRS on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Banking Operations:

    • Establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships with banking personnel.

    • Managing day-to-day banking operations for all Singapore-based companies.

  • Treasury & Cashflow Management:

    • Monitoring and optimizing returns on available cash by investing in permitted instruments.

    • Maintaining cashflow forecasts and treasury MIS to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and investment needs.

  • Audit Management:

    • Coordinating and liaising with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.

    • Serving as the primary point of contact for the Audit team.

    • Supporting the India-based team during reviews and audits of Singapore entities.

  • Compliance & Secretarial:

    • Ensuring various compliances related to ACRA, the Companies Act, statutory dues, and statutory returns.

    • Contributing to Board meetings and assisting in the finalization of minutes.

    • Working closely with the Secretarial team.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Qualified Public Chartered Accountant (Singapore / India / USA).

  • Experience: 3-6 years of relevant, post-qualification experience.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Singapore financial reporting standards.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.

  • Ability to handle multiple deliverables effectively and meet deadlines.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with offshore teams (India).
