Job Description

Responsibilities:

Gap Analysis

  • Conduct current state of BCM capabilities and readiness within SEA Region
  • Conduct studies/review of Min Business Continuity Objective (MBCO) to determine the minimum level of services that is acceptable to  the BU to achieve its business objectives during a disruption.
  • Review and identify the risk of disruption and single point of failure that requires BCP
  • Consolidate the completed dept BIA template and perform analysis to identify any gaps. 
  • Prepare the BIA report for presentation to key stakeholders
  • Evaluate the appropriateness and adequacy of the BC strategies  

Enforcement & Compliance

  • Review BU ERP, BCP and CMP to ensure completeness and meeting BC good practices / CSMS/ GITSS/ GOTSS compliance
  • Verify the implementation/ enforcement of response plan
  • Plan, facilitate and carry out CSA verification fieldwork to assess the effectiveness of mitigating controls

Training & Awareness

  • Prepare workshop training materials for courses such as Impact Assessment workshop, Crisis e-learning module, Crisis Mgmt Refresher, BC strategy development workshop etc
  • Monitor the BCM competency within BU and region and coordinate with BU BC manager  to strengthen their competency
  • Promote BCM awareness and continuous learning in BU
  • Coordinate and support the facilitation of BlindSpot Workshop

Exercise & Testing

  • Consolidate BU and region wide yearly exercise workplan and review the synergy  for exercise planning 
  • Support BU BCM exercise planning and facilitate the exercise with BU
  • Plan and facilitate Regional Crisis Management exercises

Requirements:

  • Possess a Degree in any discipline with at least 3 years relevant experience
  • Preferably have some exposure to operational risk management, emergency preparedness planning, BCM, crisis management in maritime/port operations   
  • Good verbal, presentation and written communication skills
  • Solutions-oriented mindset and flexible thinking, with a bent towards practical solutions  
  • Good analytical skills and ability to formulate a strong and coherent narrative in writing
  • Organised, delivery focused, detail-oriented and can handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • A strong relationship builder who can engage effectively across diverse groups and manage multiple stakeholders 
  • Proven organisational skills to be able to coordinate cross-functional, regional and virtual teams
