Core Responsibilities
1. To provide strategic and operational direction, advice, policies and support for the Association in IT related matters, which will include:
a. Reviewing and understanding existing infrastructure, setup, security, hardware and software and making recommendations for change/improvement and conducting implementation where applicable.
b. Exploring new technologies and their suitability for the Association.
c. Drafting and implementing IT policies to safeguard the interest of the Association.
d. Work with vendors and partners to ensure the Association has suitable IT solutions for efficiency and effectiveness.
e. Documenting, reviewing and improving IT systems and controls.
f. Provide technical support on IT issues faced in the Association.
g. Manage outsourced vendors in the fulfillment of the objectives of the Association.
h. Maintenance of database for email marketing.
2. To be responsible for the review and improvement of processes, including the adoption of more productive and cost effective methods/systems on technology related matters.
3. To be responsible for the maintenance of servers and perform timely reviews from a risk management perspective, looking at security, back-up, unforeseen situations arising and to develop contingency plans.
4. To provide IT related support in SMA organized events and courses where necessary.
5. To be the personal data protection officer and be responsible to chart the direction and guidelines on personal data protection matters, including training and educating staff on such matters.
6. To be responsible for the cybersecurity of the Association, including training and educating staff on such matters.
7. Any other responsibilities as required by the Chief Administrator.
