Job Summary
Deputy General Manager of Digital Transformation Strategy and Application Solution Department will lead and manage the development and production support of large-scale systems and other digital transformation projects.
Responsibilities
. Project Management - Undertake initiation, planning, budget estimation, reporting, scheduling, and resource management for projects and change requests related to Digital transformation and IT application.
. Business Requirements - Provide leadership and support the definition and gathering of business entity's digital needs that need to be addressed by projects.
. Business Process Management - Provide leadership and support the evaluation and documentation of existing business processes, outlining, and implementing improvements to optimize business processes.
. Change Management - Apply change management processes to manage stakeholders expectations throughout the lifecycle of a project.
. Solution Delivery - Provide leadership and oversight on the creation of IT solution/service design, development, and deployment to ensure successful installation of systems hardware and software adhering to the best practices.
. Solution Maintenance - Provide leadership in the planning of all activities associated with implementation and maintenance of the application. Provide oversight on the management of application and system issues that arise across the business.
. Internal/External Stakeholder Management - Build and maintain strong partnerships with applications owners, other IT members and the members of our parent company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines. Work with internal business management to identify and prioritise application support needs, issues, and development projects.
. Vendor Management - Facilitate and maintain relationships with vendors/partners, negotiating contracts, creating standards for the vendors, and finding the best available vendors.
. Support General Manager - Support General Manager to create Digital Transformation Strategy and perform Digital Transformation under the supervision of the GM.
. When GM is absent, DGM may exercise the GM's authority on behalf of the GM.
Requirements
. Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)
. At least 15 years of working experience (in shipping industry preferred)
. Experience in proven solution design and agile project management experience within a complex, growing, multi-site, multi system/application environment.
. Experience in delivering Business Transformation project including improvement of IT literacy in company and implementation experience driving financial and operational results, behavioural changes designing and/or implementing change strategy, assessing stakeholder impacts and organizational readiness, and measuring effectiveness to enhance organization, group, and individual performance.
. Experience in the framework, methodology, toolkits that are essential to a business transformation project.
. Familiar with IT applications and systems, Business Intelligence tools used in shipping industry.
. Knowledge of business processes, their linkage to technology, Project Management Concept and Quality Standards & Procedures.
. Basic Knowledge of accounting.
. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
. Fluent in English, and Business Level of Japanese to communicate effectively with Japanese counterparts such as parent company.
