Deputy General Manager/Chief Manager

1) Overview of the Role

Based in Singapore, the Treasury Group (TG) is responsible for managing the Branch's investment portfolio, Asset and Liability Management (ALM), and Liquidity Management. TG invests in a variety of financial products, with a primary focus on interest rate and credit risk products.

The Deputy General Manager/Chief Manager will oversee the Treasury Group, managing the investment portfolio, balance sheet funding, and reporting the Branch's activities to the Head Office in Japan.

2) Roles and Responsibil ities

a) Provide strong governance and controls over TG activities to ensure stable profits and funding, while considering the overall condition of the Branch and adhering to regulatory requirements.

b) Take responsibility for investment decisions, as well as the management and execution of TG operations.

c) Report TG activities to both the Singapore Branch and the Japan Head Office.

3) Job Requirements

a) Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.

b)Demonstrate professionalism in market conduct and uphold the highest standards of integrity.

c) Possess extensive experience in market investment, funding operations and asset liability management.

d) Exhibit strong knowledge of market investment and funding practices.

e) Have a deep understanding of the financial services industry and the regulatory environment.

f) Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders.

g) Proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese is required to liaise with Japanese stakeholders in the related unit or division at the Japan Head Office.

h) Strong comprehension of existing frameworks, as well as new regulations and laws.
