The Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity to act as a second-in-command, overseeing multiple high-impact teams and influencing national-level initiatives across biopharma, biotech, medtech, and healthcare innovation.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive Industry Strategy & Partnerships: Lead sector strategies and build senior relationships across biopharma, biotech, and medtech to enable R&D and clinical collaborations.
- Lead National Programmes: Oversee industry engagement for R&D initiatives and contribute to strategic direction at the executive level.
- Shape R&D & Funding Initiatives: Guide development of high-value research and clinical proposals with strong industry relevance and commercial outcomes.
- Strengthen Ecosystem Collaboration: Engage stakeholders across public, clinical, and industry sectors to drive cross-institutional partnerships.
- Champion Strategic Initiatives: Identify gaps and lead new initiatives to advance healthcare innovation and translational research.
- Lead & Deputise: Build high-performing teams and act as second-in-command on strategy, operations, and governance.
The Talent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in biomedical sciences, healthcare, or related fields
- Background in R&D, clinical development, product development, or commercialisation
- Prior experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, or diagnostics organisations
- Experience in business development and partnership structuring
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executive stakeholders
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to build and scale high-performing teams
- Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities in complex environments
- High level of analytical rigour, judgement, and stakeholder management
