The candidate will play a pivotal role in driving strategic collaboration and partnership initiatives with the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) Training and Placement Ecosystem (TPE) Partners. This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively engage key stakeholders, including NTUC affiliates, government agencies and employers to enhance workforce development, placement opportunities, and lifelong learning initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the labour movement, building a strong network within the NTUC ecosystem, and the ability to align partnerships in promoting workforce training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Partnership Development
- To build and manage partnerships with Unions, NTUC Industry Clusters and other Labour Movement partners through collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap to expand outreach and engagement with unionised and non-unionised companies, leading to more training opportunities for workers and companies.
2. Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison between the NTUC LearningHub and NTUC Training & Placement Ecosystem Partners, ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals.
- Represent NTUC LearningHub at high-level meetings, forums, and events to promote collaboration and partnership opportunities.
- Foster trust and credibility with stakeholders through consistent and transparent engagement.
3. Business Development
- Responsible to grow the revenue contribution and number of Unionised companies, Company Training Committees (CTCs) and other Labour Movement entities that engage LHUB for their workforce training.
- To collaborate with the NTUC Training and Placement Ecosystem (TPE) entities, comprising of e2i, IT&T, OTCi to achieve the respective joint workplan targets.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in partnership development, business development, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of engaging with the labour movement, NTUC, or similar organisations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of workforce development trends, labour market dynamics, and lifelong learning strategies.
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
