About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager / Director to lead the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS). This role is responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and operators while driving operational excellence, system reliability, and strategic initiatives within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
System Maintenance and Operations:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of AMHS equipment.
- Ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of the system.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.
- Use data analysis and feedback to enhance system efficiency and productivity.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for the team.
Budget Management:
- Manage the department's capex and expense budget, including costs related to installation, maintenance, upgrades, and staffing.
- Optimize resource allocation to achieve cost-effective and productivity operations.
Training and Development:
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Stay updated with technological advancements and integrate them into the system.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, such as production, logistics, and IT.
- Ensure seamless integration and operation of the AMHS.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) and/or relevant professional certifications are highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a manager/leader in managing Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, or high-volume automated production for over 10 years.
- Strong track record of leading large technical teams and delivering operational excellence.
- Extensive experience with preventive maintenance (PM) programs and reliability engineering for AMHS equipment, including:
- Overhead Hoist Transport (OHT) systems
- Overhead Hoist Buffers (OHB)
- Stockers, Sorter, N2 charge, and automated storage systems
- Hands-on experience with automation equipment and solutions from Daifuku and Muratec for over 10 years.
- Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and production environments.
