Deputy Design Manager

In this role, you will assist in managing a dynamic design team, leading and developing junior engineers, and providing them with essential training. You will be responsible for understanding and managing client requirements, liaising with external stakeholders on technical proposals, and ensuring that all designs comply with regulations, engineering codes, standards, and practices.

Your duties will include reviewing designs to ensure timely delivery, investigating technical issues, and reviewing project closing reports with internal stakeholders to develop improvements for future risk mitigation. You will also participate in engineering societies, contribute technical papers for conferences, and engage in global expertise groups.

Additionally, you will design Design & Build solutions, including ground improvement solutions where relevant, and provide technical marketing of these solutions to clients and consultants. Regular site visits will be conducted to train site personnel, create buy-in, and promote quality and good practices.
