Deposit & Remittance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily deposit operations including account openings/closing, fixed deposits placements/withdrawal/renewal and transaction processing
• Perform KYC for client onboarding, periodic or trigger event
• Manage inward and outward remittances. Ensure timely and accurate execution
• Perform payment investigation if required
• Supervise the verification, approval and release of transactions in line with internal controls
• Ensure all deposit and remittance activities comply with regulatory guidelines, AML/CFT requirements, KYC standards and internal policies
• Strong risk control mindset. Periodic reviews to identify and close operational gaps to mitigate operational risk
• Support internal and external audit inspections, address findings with corrective actions
• Maintain robust documentation and reporting standards for audit trail
• Provide training and guidance on processes, regulatory updates and system enhancements
• Perform UAT for enhancements related to deposit or remittance functions
• Evaluate existing processes and implement improvements to enhance speed, accuracy or mitigate risk
• Maintain and update Deposit and Remittance Policy to reflect current practice
• Perform Maker role when required
• Undertake ad hoc duties as assigned to support business and operational needs

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in Deposit & Remittance operations
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities experience preparing executive-level materials is an advantage
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
