Position Summary :
The person joining will be working with the Deployment team in particular with Test and
Commissioning team. The system is a large distributed system, built on Client's internal supervision &
control technology, interfacing with various MRT facilities.
In the course of your work, you will learn and appreciate the system engineering methodologies used
in the transport (in particular MRT) domain. You will help with the automation of our engineering
process to enhance the integrity of the system.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
. Configuration of Deployment Management Tool to suit the project requirements-including
planning, work order creation and monitoring of blockers.
. Supply Chain tool configuration and maintenance - Understanding the entire supply chain
process, including manufacturing, transportation, and distribution.
. Project Stock Order (PSO) Management - Familiarity with SAP system for inventory
management and logistics
. Test and commission railway Projects related to COMMs, in particular Video Surveillance
systems - Witness or perform specific tests on the system to verify compliance and functionality
. Prepare and update the Method Statements, testing procedure, documentation and
configurations.
. Lead / Participate in the on-site activities including system installation, system configuration and
commissioning activities with customer as witnesses
. Ensure defects identification and correction (Troubleshoot and create tools to resolve incidents)
. In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning phase, report the defect
description and associate test context with the design / engineering teams
. Ensure proper follow-up of detected issues and deliver the commissioning reports
. Deliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines while complaint to
local standards and regulations (including HSE and Railway Safety)
. Efficiency and proactivity during the execution of the T&C tests is expected. The person should
also be proactive in helping the team in any other areas within the scope of system
development life cycle.
. Ensure full compliance with site safety and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations,
and ensure that all team members adhere to these rules. Remain vigilant to identify and
address any potential safety hazards on site.
. Providing comprehensive support to the T&C Manager by delivering all necessary inputs, data,
schedule plan, issue list, KPI reports etc. to ensure effective communication management with
both internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
. Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical /Computer or related Engineering
. Willing to work in night shifts and weekends as required
. Ability to read electrical schematics and make corrections when necessary
. Previous experience in Testing & Commissioning of large rail infrastructure projects
. Proficiency in Linux operating system internals and network concepts.
. Experience developing tools using the scripting language such as Python
. Ability to learn new technologies in complex operational control systems.
. Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense
of drive
