Role at a Glance
Title: Deployment Strategist
Team: Customer Success & Account Management (CSAM)
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: Remote / APAC
Why This Role Matters
As a Deployment Strategist, you'll turn Hupo's commercial commitments and customer goals into successful, scalable deployments.
You'll own the implementation journey from discovery through launch, working closely with customers, Account Directors, Solutions Architects, Product and Engineering. You'll bring structure to complex deployments, manage risks and dependencies, and make sure customers can move from signed contract to live product as quickly and smoothly as possible.
This role is especially important as Hupo scales its enterprise customer base and looks to make deployments more predictable, repeatable and efficient.
What You'll Do
- Own enterprise deployments: Lead implementations from kickoff through configuration, testing, go-live and post-launch stabilisation.
- Build the deployment plan: Translate customer goals, contracted scope and technical requirements into clear milestones, workstreams, dependencies and success criteria.
- Drive customer and stakeholder alignment: Act as the main deployment point of contact, managing expectations and keeping customer, commercial and technical teams aligned.
- Work through complex requirements: Lead discovery, understand customer workflows and systems, and turn business needs into clear functional requirements and implementation plans.
- Coordinate technical delivery: Work closely with Solutions Architects, Product and Engineering on integrations, technical dependencies, product gaps and implementation trade-offs.
- Manage risks and push back when needed: Identify issues early, challenge unrealistic timelines or requirements, and make sure scope, resources and expectations are aligned.
- Improve how we deploy: Turn lessons from each implementation into better playbooks, processes and reusable solutions that make future deployments faster and more predictable.
- Support launch and adoption: Drive UAT, launch readiness, training, handover and early post-launch monitoring to ensure customers are set up for success.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first few months, you'll:
- Take ownership of customer deployments and establish clear plans, timelines, responsibilities and governance.
- Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams, becoming a trusted point of contact throughout implementation.
- Identify recurring deployment challenges and help turn them into repeatable processes, playbooks or product improvements.
You'll also be expected to continuously:
- Improve implementation speed, predictability and quality.
- Find ways to make future deployments more repeatable based on learnings from previous customers.
- Adapt and expand your impact as Hupo's customers, products and deployment model evolve.
- Take ownership of new problems as they emerge.
