As the Department Store Manager at Phang Nee Enterprise Pte Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our department store. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the purchasing, inventory, financial, and import & export aspects of the business. You will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies that ensure the store's success and contribute to the achievement of our financial and customer satisfaction goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing:
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a consistent supply of quality products.
Identify new product lines and trends to expand and diversify the store's offerings.
Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Inventory Management:
Implement effective inventory control procedures to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
Monitor inventory turnover and conduct regular stock assessments to identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
Oversee stock replenishment and rotation strategies to maximize sales and minimize waste.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the department's budget, monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure profitability.
Implement pricing and promotional strategies to drive sales and achieve financial targets.
Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to make data-driven decisions.
Import & Export:
Handle all import and export operations, including customs documentation and compliance.
Ensure smooth and cost-effective import/export processes, while adhering to all legal requirements and regulations.
Manage relationships with international suppliers and distributors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Department Store Manager or in a similar role within the retail industry.
Strong knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, and financial principles.
Experience in import and export operations, including customs procedures and regulations.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using inventory management and financial software.
Ability to adapt to changing market trends and customer preferences.
