Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute merchandising and sales strategies to achieve department sales, stock, and profit targets.
- Manage buying budgets, merchandise mix, inventory levels, and space planning to maximize sales and minimize losses.
- Analyze market trends, consumer demand, and competitor activities to recommend merchandise assortment and new suppliers.
- Strengthen online store performance by integrating and maximizing synergy with physical store operations.
- Plan and manage sourcing, procurement systems, and overseas buying schedules, including delivery timelines.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable commercial terms and execute key vendor programs.
- Oversee day-to-day department operations, sales performance, and cost control, including manpower expenses.
- Prepare and analyze sales, profit, stock, and budget reports in line with company requirements.
- Plan and execute advertising, promotional activities, and merchandising displays to drive customer engagement.
- Leverage digital marketing initiatives to support business growth for both physical and online stores.
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff through effective manpower planning, on-the-job training, and performance management.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals and support staff professional development.
- Ensure high standards of customer service, resolve customer complaints, and gather customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Establish and enhance operational systems, merchandise assortment, and service standards based on customer needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, confidentiality requirements, and all applicable workplace safety and health regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant managerial experience in merchandising or retail operations.
- Strong merchandising, buying, and inventory management capabilities.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, stock, and market data.
- Good organizational and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
