A General Dental Nurse / Assistant supports dentists during chairside treatments, manages clinic infection control, handles front desk administration, and ensures patient comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Support dentists during procedures by passing instruments, preparing dental materials, and suctioning.
- Infection Control: Sterilize, autoclave, and disinfect dental tools, handpieces, and treatment rooms.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prep them for treatments, check vital signs, and provide post-care instructions.
- Clinic Administration: Handle patient registration, schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and manage inventory or billing records.
Job Requirements
- Education: Minimum GCE N, O, or A Levels, Higher NITEC, or a Certificate/NITEC in Dental Assisting.
- Skills: Good hand-manual dexterity, strong interpersonal communication, and basic IT/computer literacy.
- Experience: Prior experience is preferred, but entry-level applicants with a positive attitude and willingness to undergo on-the-job training are widely welcomed.
