Job Summary
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth dental clinic operations, uphold high standards, maintain compliance, and drive continuous workplace improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of 30+ dental professionals, assistants, customer service, administrative, and housekeeping staff to achieve operational excellence
- Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure seamless clinical, customer service, administrative, and support functions
- Maintain high operational standards across all departments to deliver quality patient care and service
- Develop, update, and implement workflows while training staff to ensure consistent performance and adherence
- Manage staff scheduling across two clinics
- Manage equipment and materials maintenance, inventory control, and purchasing to support clinic needs
- Ensure compliance with professional, legal, and regulatory dental clinic guidelines and government requirements
- Conduct human resource management including recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, performance appraisal, discipline, and approval of employee claims and leave
- Oversee facility management to maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety of the clinic premises
- Support financial processes by overseeing Medisave, CHAS, and insurance submissions, preparing commission payment documents, and generating financial reports for management review
- Lead change management initiatives to improve workplace processes and encourage team adoption of new practices
Required competencies and certifications
- Past work experience in a dental clinic is essential
- Minimum 2 years managing teams of more than 20 people is essential
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience as a dental assistant or medical nurse in a clinical setting is preferred
- Polytechnic diploma or university degree in any field, preferably healthcare, business management, or hospitality
- Proficiency in spoken and written English ability to communicate in a local mother tongue is preferred
- Attributes including high energy, excellent communication, leadership, conscientiousness, problem-solving, and responsiveness
- Availability to work at least one evening and Saturdays Sundays and public holidays are rest days
