We are seeking a motivated and professional Dental Assistant to join our established private dental practice, where clinical excellence, patient experience, and high standards of care are central to everything we do. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced dentists in a refined clinical environment, providing essential chairside support and contributing to the delivery of safe, precise, and patient-centred treatments.
You will play an integral role in clinical preparation, infection control, patient assistance, and daily clinic operations, ensuring every patient receives attentive, efficient, and compassionate care. Job Scope and Duties
As a Dental Assistant, your duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Clinical Support
Assisting dentists during dental procedures
Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment
Ensuring proper infection control, sterilization, and clinical protocols are followed
Handling dental instruments and materials safely and responsibly
Patient Care
Attending to patients professionally, courteously, and respectfully
Assisting patients before and after treatment
Providing basic post-treatment instructions as directed by dentists
Ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times
Administrative Duties
Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
Assisting with patient registration, records, and basic documentation
Supporting billing, payments, and clinic administrative tasks when required
Housekeeping and Clinic Maintenance
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of treatment rooms, workstations, and common areas
Cleaning and disinfecting dental chairs, counters, instruments, and equipment after each use
Ensuring the clinic remains clean, safe, and presentable throughout operating hours
Assisting with stock organization, replenishment, and proper storage
Professional Conduct and General Duties
Demonstrating professionalism towards patients, colleagues, dentists, and management at all times
Opening and closing the clinic according to operational protocols when assigned
Performing daily duties as assigned by the Manager
Clinic Operating Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 6.30pm
Saturday: 8.30am to 2.00pm
Sunday: Permanent rest day
You will work 5.5 days per week.
