Core Responsibilities
- Analyze historical results and deviations, identifying drivers behind Forecasting benchmarks.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence to assess market changes affecting consumer sales.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to align future business plan assumptions with forecasts.
- Challenge assumptions to stress test and ensure quality of plans and forecasts.
- Develop monthly narratives explaining company results and anticipated developments.
- Lead Gap to Target processes to find opportunities in Consumer Sales and Retail Inventory.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of the S&OP cycle

The demand planning and projection department manages the SMTR Sales and Operations cycle monthly. It provides a clear understanding of past business performance and its impact on future forecasts.
The role is crucial in ensuring the business has a strong understanding and ability to answer the four questions of S&OP What happened, Why did it happen, What does that mean for the future and What are we going to do about it
Do you have what it takes
- Experience in leading S&OP process preferably in a FMCG environment
- Strong data management skills and proficient in excel
- Excellent stakeholder management with experience working with both internal and external collaborators across functions
- Result Orientation
An accurate, insight-based forecast is expected. It should be built from understanding past performance and explaining how it affects future planning assumptions.
To be effective in this role you will need to proactively build a culture with the Forecasting, Sales, Marketing and Business Intelligence teams where planning changes are freely shared and stress tested.
Would need to have a strong understand of Sales and Operations Planning and Forecasting good practices to be able to drive the continuous improvement within the processes.
Able to build PBI dashboards and Power Query to automate reporting and drive real life updates or data
