Role Overview
The Deliveryman is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of dry ice products to customers across Singapore. This role requires careful handling of hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations, while maintaining a professional and customer-friendly approach at every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Operations
- Load, transport, and deliver dry ice products to customers accurately and on schedule
- Plan and follow assigned delivery routes efficiently to meet daily delivery targets
- Verify delivery orders against documentation before and upon delivery
Safe Handling & Compliance
- Handle inventory safely in accordance with MOM workplace safety regulations and company SOPs
- Ensure proper storage and securing of dry ice during transit to prevent damage or hazard
- Report any spillage, vehicle incidents, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately
Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and report defects promptly
- Keep the delivery vehicle and equipment clean and in good working condition
- Ensure cold storage compartments and coolers are functioning and maintained
Customer Service
- Deliver goods professionally, obtain proof of delivery, and address basic customer queries on-site
- Escalate customer complaints or special requests to the admin and operations team
Administrative
- Maintain accurate delivery records, trip sheets, and proof of delivery
- Return undelivered goods and report discrepancies
Requirements
- Valid Class 3/3A driving licence (Class 4 an advantage for larger vehicles)
- 1-2 years of delivery driving experience preferred (candidates with a clean driving record and no prior delivery experience are welcome to apply)
- Physically fit to handle and lift heavy loads comfortable working in cold environments
- Familiarity with Singapore roads and use of GPS/navigation apps
- Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently
- Basic English literacy for documentation purposes
