The Delivery Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery and release management for the BCC (Billing, Customer & Charging) squad, with primary accountability for BCC Major and Ad-hoc releases.
This role serves as the single point of coordination and accountability for planning, governance, readiness, and execution of BCC releases, ensuring changes are delivered safely, predictably, and in compliance with organisational controls.
The Delivery Manager works closely with BCC application teams, Business stakeholders, Network, Operations, Infrastructure, and Vendors to ensure that all release activities are properly scoped, aligned, approved, and executed with minimal business impact.
The scope of this role is intentionally focused on BCC delivery and release execution, including:
Delivery management for BCC squad initiatives
End-to-end ownership of BCC Major and Ad-hoc releases
Release governance, dependency management, and readiness assurance
Coordination across Business, IT, Network, and Operations for BCC-related changes
Ensuring release quality, stability, and auditability
This role does not own end-to-end programme delivery across unrelated domains but plays a critical control and assurance role for one of the most business-critical platforms in Consumer IT.
This role ensures that all BCC changes progress through the required testing phases (SIT, UAT, PET, PPT) and governance checkpoints, with clear accountability for release quality, risk management, and audit compliance.
Performing end-to-end delivery and release management for BCC, ensuring releases are delivered on time and with high-quality outcomes
Tracking and compiling all demand and testing status to prepare the BCC weekly and monthly release scope for code and configuration changes
Managing delivery risks and dependencies, including integration and downstream impacts
Complying with Change Management standards and processes, ensuring all documentation for Technical Change Requests is completed and uploaded
Preparing for and attending Pre-Change Approval Board (CAB) and CAB sessions
Driving stakeholder management with Business, IT, Vendors, and other dependent application teams on scope, priorities, and release impact
Overseeing environment readiness, cutover planning, and rollback strategies for deployment
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with recognised Project/Delivery Management certification or equivalent practical experience
Work Experience
5-10 years of experience in IT delivery or release management roles within a matrixed enterprise environment
Proven experience managing end-to-end delivery and release execution across multiple systems, teams, and stakeholders
Hands-on experience coordinating major and ad-hoc releases for business-critical platforms
Strong exposure to change governance, CAB processes, and release readiness controls
Strong understanding of the software delivery and release lifecycle, including planning, testing coordination, deployment, and post-release stabilisation
Working knowledge of delivery methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, and the ability to apply them pragmatically in a release-driven environment
Hands-on experience with release governance, risk management, dependency management, and quality assurance
Ability to coordinate and track multiple testing phases (SIT, UAT, PET, PPT) to ensure readiness prior to release
Proficiency with delivery and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, MS Project, and Agile delivery tools
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and align diverse teams toward a common release outcome
Proven ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional and multicultural teams
High level of problem-solving capability, with a calm, structured, and results-driven approach, particularly during release execution and issue resolution
