Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivery Operations:
- Safely transport goods from the warehouse to designated destinations, ensuring they arrive in excellent condition.
- Deliver products to multiple locations per trip, optimizing routes for efficiency and fuel savings.
- Pick, pack, load, and unload goods onto pallets or into delivery vehicles with care.
- Verify orders before leaving the warehouse to ensure accurate delivery to customers.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers and supervisors regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
2. Safe Driving & Traffic Compliance:
- Strictly adhere to traffic regulations and company driving policies.
- Follow safe driving habits and defensive driving techniques to minimize the risk of accidents.
- Utilize GPS navigation and knowledge of Singapore's road network to find the best routes for timely deliveries.
- Report any road incidents, accidents, or vehicle-related issues to management immediately.
3. Vehicle Maintenance & Upkeep:
- Conduct daily vehicle checks before and after trips (e.g., tire pressure, brakes, oil, coolant, lights).
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained for safe and smooth operations.
- Report any mechanical issues promptly for servicing and repairs.
4. Workplace Safety & Compliance:
- Follow workplace safety standards and adhere to safe lifting techniques when handling goods.
- Wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety boots and gloves when required.
- Comply with company policies regarding cargo security, proper handling of perishable or fragile items, and proper stacking of goods to prevent damage.
- Assist in other warehouse or logistics-related tasks when required by supervisors.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a valid Class 3/4 driving license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with Singapore's road network, expressways, and industrial estates.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy goods as part of daily tasks.
- Prior experience in logistics, delivery, or transportation is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willing to work early mornings, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
