Job Summary

In this leadership role, the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEI&B) Director will lead DEI&B strategy for NetApp's Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA). This role will support Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRG), Talent Enablement, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits team, HR Business Partners, business leaders and other key stakeholders to implement DEI&B strategies for the region. There will be support of partnerships and engagement with external entities that may include nonprofit organizations, diversity focused training and development organizations, and country government relationships. This individual will lead efforts to build a culture of belonging, where all employees feel valued and respected, and will develop initiatives to attract, retain, and advance diverse talent. They will serve as an internal and external advocate for DEI&B initiatives and contribute to thought leadership in the field.

Job Description

Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Global EBRG Support for EMEA- Serve as the liaison for all Employee Business Resource groups focusing on driving engagement and interaction between EBRGs to ensure operation in support of employee growth and experience. Partner with regional leadership to ensure EBRGs are optimally designed, and their leadership and organizational structures are well supported via chapter leadership roles and executive sponsorship.
  • Employee and Event Experience - Partner with US DEI&B team to ensure each global community celebratory months have great programming and broad communication across EMEA.
  • Accessibility and Inclusive Design- Help support NetApp's journey in ensuring an accessible employee experience and product design.
  • EMEA Talent Support - Participate in key partnership with the Talent Engagement team, create and maintain a data centric reporting mechanism to highlight critical talent movement across NetApp, as well as provide a future looking view into diversity in potential talent pipelines/succession planning, targeted development, and sponsorship programs. Partner with Talent Acquisition to access diverse pools of external talent leveraging partner relationships and community networks. Advocate with key stakeholders on the importance of fostering inclusive hiring practices. Work in close partnership with Campus recruiting and rotational program leadership to make strategic decisions on key early talent partnerships, investments, and strategies. Establish and manage external DEI&B partnerships in support of TA and TE programs and initiatives. Support EMEA DEI&B Council development and strategies.
  • Culture- Review engagement and exit survey data, develop manager & onboarding training (bias, equity, recruitment, accessibility, anti-racism, etc.) and help set up governance guideline and processes to include pay equity.
  • DEI&B Education and Learning - Partner with Learning and Development team to drive focused content consumption and engagement for DEIB related areas of focus.
  • Community Involvement - Help support joint initiatives with the DEI&B team and Social Impact team to help build diverse pipelines and celebratory month activities. Identify opportunities to showcase NetApp as an impactful member of the community and diversity employer of choice including event participation, awards and recognition, etc.
  • Data Management- Work with data analytics team to build dashboards and scorecards to ensure ongoing sharing of data that will drive impact and change. The ability to articulate the story behind the data and present a clear precise story that will lead to action.

Qualifications

  • Requires 7-10 years of experience with a bachelor's degree or relevant years of experience. EBRG, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, DEI&B Council, or community involvement in DEI&B activities and associated investment in self-directed DE&I learning is expected.
  • Experience in DEI&B and or community impact required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated track record of engagement and personal leadership in the DEI&B space and a recognition of its importance to NetApp's organizational culture and business outcomes. Candidates with Field experience are encouraged.
  • Skilled at matrixed relationships and management. Confident communicator with comfort in delivering presentations and engaging groups and teams.
  • Acts independently and confidently to determine methods and procedures on new, special, or ad hoc assignments.
