DeFi Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a DeFi Engineer to enhance protocol integrations and scale trading infrastructure across multiple blockchains. This position involves end-to-end DeFi trading work, from building data pipelines and smart contracts to managing low-latency off-chain execution systems. The role collaborates closely with trading and research teams to ensure systems are fast, reliable, and scalable across Ethereum, L2s, and other blockchain environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations with major DeFi protocols.
• Develop gas-efficient smart contracts for seamless protocol interactions.
• Optimize execution pipelines for each chain, including order routing and transaction broadcasting.
• Monitor, benchmark, and tune systems for optimal performance.
• Ensure resilience and adherence to best practices in all systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with DeFi protocol integration and smart contract development.
• Proficiency in backend or system programming languages, such as Rust or Typescript.
• Solid understanding of blockchain environments including EVM, SVM, and MVM.
• Experience building latency-sensitive systems, preferably in trading or financial applications.
• Familiarity with monitoring and performance tuning tools and techniques (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, custom latency metrics).
