Debt Financing Manager (Investment & Financing Dept.)

Company Overview

Our client is a rapid-growth data centre platform building next-generation digital infrastructure across Asia-Pacific. We are seeking a Debt Financing Manager to join the Investment & Financing team. This role is critical in securing bank financing to fuel our large-scale infrastructure projects and managing our expanding debt portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financing Execution: Work on end-to-end debt raising process for new and existing data centre projects. This includes managing bank due diligence, preparing financing internal memos, and overseeing the drawdown process.
  • Lender Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with Corporate Banking teams at international, regional, and Chinese offshore banks to ensure a consistent pipeline of debt capital.
  • Financial Analysis & Credit Positioning: Translate the company's project plans into bank-ready credit proposals. Perform sensitivity analysis on debt serviceability and leverage ratios to optimize borrowing terms.
  • Documentation & Negotiation: Work alongside the legal team to negotiate facility agreements and security packages, ensuring terms support the company's long-term investment objectives.
  • Portfolio & Compliance Management: Oversee the post-closing management of debt facilities, including covenant tracking, periodic bank reporting, and managing refinancing or repricing exercises.

Requirements

  • Professional Background: 3–5 years in Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, or Debt Capital Markets (DCM). We are specifically looking for candidates who understand the bank's internal credit approval logic.
  • Technical Skills: Strong financial statement analysis skills. Familiarity with project-based lending, bilateral/syndicated loans, and bank guarantee structures.
  • Project Mindset: Ability to work in a fast-paced investment environment, managing multiple bank term sheets and financing timelines simultaneously.
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Professional fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is essential to liaise with Chinese financial institutions and regional stakeholders.
